Two devices in one unit
Two powerful, microprocessor-controlled components are integrated in the solar
station SHS 200:
12 V DC / 230 V AC / 200 VA sinusoidal inverter, peak power 600 VA
8 A solar charging controller with excess discharge protection

The solar station is designed for use in isolated installations with 12 V lead
batteries. One solar generator of up to 8 A module current (130 Wp) as well
as 12 V DC current-consuming devices (7.5 A, 90 W) and 230 V AC current-consuming
devices (0.9 A, 200 VA) can be operated.
The inverter can be switched on and off manually. It can supply up to three
times rated current for short periods of time. The output voltage is sinusoidal.
Suitable for inductive loads
The short-time peak output power of 600 VA allows the operation of inductive
loads, such as motors, pumps or refrigerators.
Optimal operational reliability
Extensive protection measures against overload, overheating and short-circuit
ensure an optimal operational reliability. If the excess discharge threshold
is exceeded, the unit will automatically cut off the current-consuming devices.
As soon as the battery has been sufficiently recharged, the current-consuming
devices are switched on again.
Charging according to the shunt principle
The charging controller operates according to the shunt principle. When the
charging limit is reached, the unit controls the solar generator accordingly.
In order to achieve an optimal battery charge, the unit operates with two charging
limits. When the battery is fully charged, the charging limit is set back accordingly.
This conserves the battery and increases its lifespan.
