Flexible
The Sunny Island battery inverter is the heart of your off-grid electricity
supply. The Sunny Island combines all components of your plant on the AC side
and forms the grid.
Modular and simple
Off-the-shelf and affordable AC components can be connected to your AC island
grid. These can be "normal" electricity sources such as Sunny Boy
PV-inverters as well as any known household device. Expensive DC cabling on
the consumer side of your island grid is not necessary. The Sunny Island is
designed for extreme surge power capability. The Sunny Island can generate 3
to 4 times the nominal power for a short period of time in order to start electric
motors or the like.
Easily extendable
An off-grid system based on Sunny Islands is ready for nearly any kind of modification.
The coupling on the AC side allows you to install additional energy sources
which can be Sunny Boy PV-inverters or CHP power plants. Off-grid systems with
the Sunny Island 4500 can be extended from simple single-phase island grids
to a 3-phase grid with several Sunny Islands. And this can be done step by step,
depending on your increasing energy demand.
Compatible
The Sunny Island product range is naturally compatible with the Sunny Boy plant
monitoring systems and can therefore be integrated into nearly any monitoring
system. The available monitoring systems range from simple data acquisition
on site all the way to integration into web based monitoring using the Sunny
Portal.
Powerful
Off-grid systems with Sunny Islands are powerful for two reasons: The coupling
of the components on the AC side results in an adding up of all energy sources.
A high solar radiation results in a high output of your Sunny Boy inverters
while this energy is additionally available to the power your Sunny Island can
deliver. This increases the total power of your plant.
