Solar Cooker

Our solar cookers consist of a parabolic mirror. In its focal point an attachment for hanging various cooking accessories is found. Due to the bundling of the suns rays it is possible to achieve high cooking temperatures. Therefore the solar cooker is also ideal for baking, frying, sterilisation as well as for industrial or commercial usage for example dye factories or fruit juice manufacturing. The reflective panels of the parabolic mirror is made of weather proven high polished aluminium material. The frame is a galvanised construction. Our solar cookers are robust and easy to use. The following of the suns path needs only, due to the low focal point construction of the cooker, be changed every 25 to 30 minutes.

Solar Cooker Model Premium

Our solar cooker Premium14 has a diameter of 1.4 m. The power rating by clear skies is 700 Watts. This allows you to boil for example 3 litres of water in 25 minutes.

The solar cooker is easily and quickly assembled and disassembled, and the swiveltype rack belonging to it allows to direct the cooker towards the sun.

Due to a ceramic protective layer the reflecting material is weatherproof and sheltered from saline air as well as from pollution by chemicals.

The high-class quality solar cooker is suitable for families up to 10 persons and for small trade in developing countries, e.g. cookshops, dye-works, juice making, drinking water preparation.

The solar cooker kit is completely equipped thus integrating the comprehensive installation manual and cooking instructions as well as the fastening means.

Our solar cooker Premium11 has a diameter of 1.1 m. The power rating by clear skies is 450 Watts. This allows you to boil for example 3 litres of water in 40 minutes.

Design and finish same as with solar cooker Premium14, however with a reflector diameter of 110 cm.

Excellent product! Amazing how much energy can be gathered from the sun, with such a simple yet effective idea. Great way to lower your energy bill and make you much less dependent on natural gas and electricity. Can easily help out to prepare some side dishes when organizing a barbecue. Basically you can cook/fry anything with the solar cooker that you would on a regular stove. During periods of extremely hot weather, the solar cooker functions as a great way to cook your meals and soups that require a long simmer time outside, thus reducing heat-buildup within your household significantly. Fairly easy to assemble, quality materials are likely to guarantee a long lifetime. Instructions are easy to follow, though i personally would have liked to see a few more spare screws and bolts (had one bolt that was a bit jinxed). But overall a very thought-through device that weighs in at around 18kgs making it not hard to transport over short distances. Gusts of wind are a threat to this product, even though it can withstand quite a lot, but best to reserve some space in an old shed/garage to shelter it from thunderstorms or otherwise extremely windy conditions. From what i understand a small percentage of the proceeds will go to solar cooker projects in the third world, and the kits are predominantly made in special workshops for unemployed young people and/or disabled people, something worth considering a purchase. A tip for any future users: I do recommend the use of some lid to prevent oil spatters. Cleaning these up from the aluminum wafers is not that easy. Buy it! Frank.
