RUNNING
BULL AGM Battery
90Ah (C20)
Unlimited power! Running
Bull - the absolutely maintenance-free and spill proof starter and in-board
network battery for diverse vehicles (particularly taxis, off-road vehicles,
rescue vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery...), with AGM-technology.
(AGM = absorbent glass
mat, which absorbs the battery acid in the glass fibres and thus binds it in).
With the new Running
Bull AGM battery, Banner has taken another step on the road to the battery future.
The Running Bull, which does not contain liquid electrolyte, represents a new
Banner benchmark with regard to safety, freedom of maintenance and performance.
The principle:
The Running Bull, which in principle is a lead-acid battery, differs from its
conventional counterparts in two decisive ways:
- The electrolyte is
absorbed into a non-woven web and consequently bounded.
- The battery is sealed
by a valve. The consequence of this innovative approach is that the battery
contains no free, liquid electrolyte and therefore, acid cannot escape even
if the casing is damaged. A further advantage of the AGM battery and its recombination
technology is the fact that it is entirely sealed and absolute maintenance-free.
Main applications:
- Solar power
sector
- Hobby and leisure
sector (camping, caravan, ...)
- Starter and
in-board network batteries for commercial vehicles - particularly taxis, off-road
vehicles, rescue vehicles, agricultural and construction machinery...
Customer advantages:
- Zero maintenance.
- Vibration
and cycle resistance.
- Acid leak
protection, which prevents corrosion or the danger of burns caused by escaping
acid vapours.
- Handles and
terminal cover.
- Extreme high
level of operational security.
- In the case
of severe overloading, the safety valve opens (only water and oxygen are released,
therefore special charging technology required!).
- Installation
independent of storage.

technology

The technology:
The gas generated during charging is conducted to the negative electrode
through the pores of the glass fibre web, where it is recombined (reconstituted)
to form water. This means that water losses are impossible under normal
operating conditions. Moreover, the electrode plates are compacted to
such as degree by the tight set installation that sludging is cut to a
minimum. The result is a high level of cyclical resistance.
